What is Pantone you ask?

The most trusted name in the industry, they not only offer an opinion about upcoming trends in fashion and clothing design- they set the standard. They developed the definitive color reference system called the Pantone Color Matching System

The Pantone Color Matching System is largely a standardized color reproduction system. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another.
One such use is standardizing colors in the CMYK process. The CMYK process is a method of printing color by using four inks—cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. A majority of the world's printed material is produced using the CMYK process, and there is a special subset of Pantone colors that can be reproduced using CMYK.

The Trends:

Although fall is usually categorized by warm oranges, yellows, and deep reds, this years design trends are leaving room for something new: bold blue. Surprisingly sophisticated, rooms adorned with this bold color are all the rage this fall season. The color can dress your home modern, traditional, or chic, and is great for the entire year around

Step back into the 1970s- live, green house plants are all the buzz in this years interior design community. Green plants are beautiful, but functional!  They add a splash of color to even the most drab of rooms. Additionally, they do help to clean the air of their surrounding through their natural organic processes. If you think there it is a little ironic that a trend for fall would be a living, green plant, you are not alone!

3.) Vintage Art

Goodwills, thrift shops, flea markets, and even online retailers such as Amazon and ebay have seen a huge surge in the sales of antique, or antique-like art. The style is definitely a little more on the bohemian side, but done correctly, it can be effortlessly beautiful and elegant

4.) Open Faced Cabinets:

Another throw-back to yesteryear, cabinets like these are showing up around the internet, and we can see why! Open faced cabinets make a room look  much larger, grant easier access to cooking utensils . Many designers are using these spaces to add a dash of color. Many homeowners are leaving the exterior of the cabinet a neutral tone and then painting the inside for a splash of bold color.

5.) Bold Geometric Shapes mixed with organics
